Ms E’s Boudoir Empowerment Session / McKinney, TX / Boudoir by Erin
8 years ago I added taking Boudoir pictures to my bucket list, always wishing I could be confident enough to take the leap! I turned 45 this year and decided that sometime I the next year, I was finally going to do it, regardless of being confident or not! I decided that my husband's 50th birthday was the perfect reason to push myself WAY out of my comfort zone and surprise him! I am so so glad I did!!!
How did you first hear about Boudoir by Erin?
Erin's name popped up in a Facebook group regarding Boudoir pictures so I started following some of her social media platforms and as more people raved about her, I researched more!
Why did you decide to book a boudoir session? What made you go for it?
I booked a session as a surprise for my husband's 50th birthday!! I loved the positivity she has built her business on, her incredible photographs, and the amazing reviews from women at all stages in life! Who wouldn't want to walk away feeling sexy, confident, desirable, and body positive! ?!
What did you think boudoir was before hearing of Boudoir by Erin?
My idea of what Boudoir was had more to do with women having the perfect body, hair and makeup. Erin was the first photographer that actually had a portfolio of women of all shapes, sizes and colors and it was amazing to see!
Did you have any obstacles or fears about doing a boudoir session?
I have struggled with body image my entire life. I have always wanted to cover up because I just didn't think my body was anything attractive! I had to do a lot of self talk and positive thinking to get there!
How did you feel leading up to the morning of your session?
Nervous excited for sure!
What was your first impression when you arrived at the studio?
So homey and welcoming!
What did you think of your hair & makeup?
I absolutely loved my hair and makeup! I felt beautiful!
Did you have any thoughts during your session?
Just self conscious about NY outfit choices or lack thereof 😜 Erin and Chelby were amazing and those insecurity didn't last long!
How did you feel leaving the studio after your session and viewing your images?
I was somewhat in shock! I was worried I would have a hard time choosing images I liked! I loved them all and even liked them untouched!! I was so excited to leave knowing ehat I would ultimately see would be even better!!

Did anything surprise you?
Just feeling like you have know these ladies forever! They truly make you feel loved and accepted from the first moment!
What would your advice be to other women who haven’t booked a boudoir session?
DO IT! Don't wait until you feel like you have the perfect body, hair style, outfit, or special occasion! Do it so you can see and finally believe that you are an amazing individual who is sexy, beautiful, desirable and everything else good!
Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty/sexuality/sensuality/body confidence as a result of this session?
I feel like for the first time, I saw myself the way my husband has always seen me....confident, sexy, beautiful, empowered! It was and is so freeing!
Why would you suggest someone else book a session with Boudoir by Erin?
She has such a gift at connecting with people! She feels like an old friend from the beginning and never makes you feel uncomfortable! She praises you, encourages and shows you the entire time just how amazing you are! That is priceless!!
What would you say to people who say they can’t do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
That of your struggling with shyness, nervousness, body image issues, or the whole host of things women feel and think, to do what you feel comfortable with the first time! Take things that cover you up more if it makes you comfortable because once you get there, you will change your mind and want to see what you look and feel like being sexy!!!
