Boudoir Makeup & Hair Styles

Learn About Our Different Makeup Styles

Let’s talk makeup! If you are anything like me & don’t wear very much makeup at all this could be very intimidating. Don’t you worry we are here to help with this guide of styles. We have to remember for photography you will need to wear a little more makeup than you would for everyday wear but it will still look amazing. Take a look at the 3 basic styles we offer. Then the day of your session Precious will look over your questionnaire and what you chose and discuss a little more in depth.

Let’s Talk Hair

You don’t always have to do the soft tosseled curls for your boudoir session. Take a look at these different styles. We can do a Sexy Updo, Wavy, Brushed Out/Bed Head Curls, or even Gelled Back.

Barely There:

A little more than an everyday makeup look.  Dewey, glowing skin with a pink or neutral lip always looks good. Light coverage foundation. The ‘no makeup’ look actually does require makeup to look fabulous in your photos though. Soft tones that enhance your complexion, a light powder foundation and maybe a bit of cheek color starts your transformation. A muted shadow over your eyelid, along with a light coat of mascara. Think of makeup that you would do before running errands on a weekday!

Soft/Natural Glam

More than the “barely there” option.  Soft neutral colors: browns, creams, soft pinks & champagnes are used.  Some metallic shimmer on dude. Your lashes will be a little more dramatic than natural but still nice looking and not over the top. Start to add some color to the mix with medium glam.  Stronger foundation with a more full coverage and heavier on the blush, contour and highlight.  We typically use a softer smokey eye look with shades of brown-  a stronger color palette than a softer glam look. Think of makeup that you would wear to a family event or on a casual date.

You are looking to go all out with full glam!  This look is created with browns & blacks, glitter and the whole 9 yards! We still incorporate champagnes, pinks, golds & even colors in this look.  Think of the style of makeup before you hit the town on a Saturday night in a nice dress!
