How did you first hear about Boudoir by Erin?

Why did you decide to book a boudoir session? What made you go for it?
I’ve always wanted to do a boudoir shoot- but I couldn’t justify spending the money on photos I can’t really show people. I was given the opportunity after filling out the ‘model for a day’ application and I am absolutely so thankful for the entire experience.
What did you think boudoir was before hearing of Boudoir by Erin?

Did you have any obstacles or fears about doing a boudoir session?
I was a lot nervous about what I looked like and who might see it.
How did you feel leading up to the morning of your session?
Nervous and very excited because I worked hard to be the best me- mentally and physically so I couldn’t wait to capture this moment.
What was your first impression when you arrived at the studio?
Very impressed- the way the house was laid out and every nook filled with something fun. Erin is very welcoming and fun. The sign out front with my name on it was so thoughtful and I appreciate the time and effort behind how prepared you are!
What did you think of your hair & makeup?
Jaimee did an amazing job- so much that I had no idea I could look like a model! I did as she asked to not look in the mirror and I was shocked on reveal. I feel like I catfished myself- there’s no way that’s ME!
Did you have any thoughts during your session?
Honestly, my thoughts were making sure I did exactly as Erin said along with thinking about how my face looked or if I was posing correctly. I am absolutely shocked that she could turn the camera around in the moment and show me unedited photos that were PERFECT. I appreciate Erin for showing me exactly how to do each pose and I love that she knew exactly what she wanted and has an eye for perfection.
How did you feel leaving the studio after your session and viewing your images?
I got in the car and began to process everything. I can NOT believe how amazing I looked, how amazing I felt and how emotional I was after the photo shoot was because it wasn’t just about some pictures. Seeing the unedited photos gave me validation that I have accomplished goals I set out to achieve. It’s not just about weight lost, but also about the mentality of going on adventures/doing new things and living my best life.

Did anything surprise you?
Every. Single. Photo.
What would your advice be to other women who haven’t booked a boudoir session?
It was so much more than just photos. As you walk out with all of the feelings- you’ll realize that it was absolutely worth it. You will be hooked to the way you feel- definitely empowered.
Erin finds your best qualities and captures it. Even the things I don’t like about myself, Erin found a way to prove me wrong. So don’t wait until you think you’re ready... just bring your positive vibes and trust that Erin will handle the rest.
Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty/sexuality/sensuality/body confidence as a result of this session?
Lots of confidence and validation. I had to see myself through Erin’s eyes to understand what I actually look like. The immediate, unedited photo reveal was eye opening for me. Even scantily clad, I viewed myself in a positive light. The positive self talk is exactly what I needed!
Why would you suggest someone else book a session with Boudoir by Erin?
I’m very impressed with every aspect of booking a session with Erin. I am responsible for marketing for my Realtor/boyfriend and I appreciate the effort it takes to have an organized business. The well planned emails/forms, texts, and the constant posting on social media takes a lot effort.
What would you say to people who say they can’t do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
It’s hard not to be shy or nervous because we, as a society, have made it this way. Boudoir seems to be a taboo subject so we’re scared to take the photos or ask the questions. What we don’t talk about is how we feel and how it’s much more than just photos.

Erin, I am so thankful for this opportunity and I haven’t stopped talking about it since! Thank you for this entire experience. I can’t wait to come back and my goal is for a couples shoot!
