Phelicia’s Couples Boudoir Empowerment Session / McKinney, TX / Boudoir by Erin
We have known eachother since freshmen year of high school (1999-2000) but never dated but were close friends at the time. After many years not seeing eachother we found our way back.
We have been together, as of October, for 11yrs. This was our very first photo shoot together married now for 9yrs as of may 2021. This was a very amazing session and experience together. Marriage is hard sometimes but to be able to experience this level of togetherness is amazing. Erin and Jamie made this a great experience that will probly be repeated again because I’m obsessed!
How did you first hear about Boudoir by Erin?
Research! I had already done a shoot with Erin a few months prior.
Why did you decide to book a boudoir session? What made you go for it?
This session with my husband was a long time coming. Iv been asking for a few years now to have photos done with just him since we didn’t really get photos when we got married.
What did you think boudoir was before hearing of Boudoir by Erin?
I thought it was just for women until talking to erin
Did you have any obstacles or fears about doing a boudoir session?
I was concerned we wouldn’t do very good together.
How did you feel leading up to the morning of your session?
Anxious and nervous to be able to make a vision come true.
What did you think of your hair & makeup?
I lovvvved it. Jamie new exactly how to make the look we needed for the motorcycle phones happen.
Did you have any thoughts during your session?
I just wanted them to be done so we could see them. Excitement. But if you ask Erin she will tell you it was hard to tell. 😂
How did you feel leaving the studio after your session and viewing your images?
Impatient! I just wanted everything right then. I wanted to be able to hang out first portrait together up on the wall.
What products did you purchase?
11x14 metal matte wall canvas, 8x10 and a few 5x7 prints and a 6x8 black photo book
Did anything surprise you?
How comfortable it was to do these photos with him.
What would your advice be to other women who haven’t booked a boudoir session?
Couples shoot is very exciting and gets to show you and others the spark between 2 people that love eachother. If you think doing this alone is fun. Try to doing it with the person you have chosen to annoy the rest their lives.
Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty/sexuality/sensuality/body confidence as a result of this session?
Showed me how much he actually enjoys me. That I should probly start paying more attention to what he tells me instead of my own insecurities.
Why would you suggest someone else book a session with Boudoir by Erin?
Erin is AMAZING! She is fun to work with. She’s laid back and looooovvveeeessss to have fun an joke.
What would you say to people who say they can’t do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
Take that step! He’ll skip the step and jump!
